The 10 Best Places In The US To Retire

While a lot of us have a long way to go before we can even think of retirement, that doesn’t stop us from dreaming about where we want to spend our later years. Well, there’s no doubt there are some places that are much better suited for retirees, so before you start planning the next phase in your life you may want to take note.

“U.S. News & World Report” has just come out with their 2019 Best Places To Retire list, evaluating the country's 100 largest metropolitan areas based on how well they meet Americans' expectations for retirement, looking at things like housing affordability, healthcare and overall happiness.

Moving up one spot from number two last year, Lancaster, Pennsylvania tops the list thanks to its increases in housing affordability and the overall happiness of its residents. Coming in at number two is Fort Meyers, Florida which jumps from 15 last year, earning high marks for desirability and happiness.
