Kelly Clarkson covered one of Faith Hill’s most iconic songs, and it was stunning. The gorgeous rendition was the latest song selection for the “Kellyoke” segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show on Monday (September 26).

“Breathe” was the title track of Hill’s 13-track studio album that released in 1999. The fan-favorite collection also included “The Way You Love Me” and one of Hill’s duets with her superstar husband Tim McGraw, “Let’s Make Love,” among other highlights:

“And I can feel you breathe, it's washing over me/ And suddenly, I'm melting into you/ There's nothing left to prove/ Baby, all we need is just to be/ Caught up in the touch, slow and steady rush/ Baby, isn't that the way that love's supposed to be?/ I can feel you breathe/ Just breathe”

Clarkson regularly covers smash-hit songs by artists of all genres on her daytime talkshow. The American Idol alum has covered fan-favorite songs by country music legends before, including Dolly Parton, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Ann Womack, Randy Travis and tons of others. Clarkson’s segment even inspired her laters 6-track EP, Kellyoke, which includes Clarkson’s spins on songs originally released by Linda Ronstadt, Whitney Houston, Billie Eilish and more.

“Music is in the DNA of everything I do, so when The Kelly Clarkson Show started we knew it was the perfect way to kick off every episode,” Clarkson said at the time. “Over 500 songs later, and we’re still not running out of amazing artists to pay tribute to. Picking just six was near-impossible, but these songs have been some of my favorites. Thanks for singing along with me y’all!”
