Texas Stores Are Selling Bullet Resistant Backpacks

It seems the new norm when buying back to school supplies in North Texas may be buying bullet resistant backpacks. Guard Dog Security had been selling their fortified backpacks online, but now Office Max and Office Depot. They run between $120 and $200.

Guard Dog Security’s founder Yasir Shiekh says he wants the backpacks to make parents and students be prepared rather than scared.

A label on the products says it can stop a bullet from a .44 Magnum handgun but it won’t stop a high-velocity rifle.
