VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN AUSTIN

Musically Fed and Rhino Staging will be teaming up to provide meals and groceries to local event crew workers on April 17th. Musically Fed’s first drive-through distribution in Texas is focused on feeding its industry community, with plans to serve 200 families from the Austin area.

Can you volunteer? Musically Fed is in search of volunteers to help with sorting, packing, and preparing distribution boxes on Thursday, April 15th and Friday, April 16th. There are two shifts each day, morning and afternoon, and lunch will be provided. To get more information, including specifics on location and shifts, click here for sign up form, email suzanne@insightmgt.net or call Musically Fed at 480-951-1882.

Musically Fed is a 501(c)(3) that in "normal times" works with artists, promoters, management and venues naionwide to donate unused backstage meals to community organizations that feed the homeless, hungry, and food insecure. When the pandemic hit and the touring industry shut down, they shifted their focus to the many music industry workers that are without food or decent nourishment due to COVID-19. Many of the people they are serving are not eligible to receive unemployment benefits and most likely will be the last to return to full time work. They have been conducting drive-through food distributions around the country in Atlanta, Minneapolis, LA, Phoenix, San Diego, Nashville, Orlando, and Austin!
