Maybe everything isn't bigger in Texas.

The Lone Star State is home to the cheapest gas in the country, according to WFAA, citing the latest data from AAA. A gallon on average costs $3.64 in Texas — and no other state has gas that's cheaper. This price is down 14 cents from last week.

The national average is $4.13.

"Texas has the lowest gas price average of any state in the country according to Gasprices.AAA.com. It remains to be seen how far gasoline prices can actually fall with the busy summer driving season still underway," AAA Texas spokesperson Daniel Armbruster told WFAA.

These low prices can be attributed to crude oil prices, which have reached their lowest point since Russia invaded Ukraine. Demand also fell as regional supplies increased.

Here's a look at where you can find the cheapest gas in Texas:

  • Brownsville-Harlingen: $3.33
  • McAllen-Edinburg-Mission: $3.34
  • Laredo: $3.34
  • Corpus Christi: $3.40
  • Sherman-Denison $3.42

Here's where the most expensive gas is:

  • College Station-Bryan: $3.85
  • Midland: $3.81
  • Odessa: $3.73
  • Beaumont-Port Arthur: $3.72
  • Galveston-Texas City: $3.72
