I didn't think February would ever get here! My cycle actually came 5 days early and I was excited! You call your fertility doc and the ball gets rolling.  You take BC for the first 16-21 days. If you are asking yourself why BC, because I did, here's why from good ole Google "We may use birth control pills starting on day 3 of your cycle. There are two main reasons for taking birth control pills prior to your IVF cycle. First of all, taking birth control pills prior to a stimulation cycle may help the ovaries respond better to the stimulation medication." Makes total sense now, right!

When you are having your first initial appt, mine was Dec 18. They go over everything and it is a lot. They were great to reassure me that they would make it easier to understand, which they have. I was sent a daily calendar of what needs to be taken and when.

Starting the BC was exciting, but a few days later I was flushed with nausea. I kept asking why did I feel like this and then Ah-ha you started taking BC, CoCo! I had told Jason initially that I was worried about taking BC and the rest of the hormones, because I knew I was gonna feel crappy. I just didn't think it would be 3 days later. It's all good though, one day at a time. Which is super cliche, because IVF is just one day at a time.

We are on day 4 and I will now take my BC at night so I don't have to feel yucky.  Whats 14 - 17 more days, right!? Go! Go! Go!
