IVF UPDATE 3/10 - How Many Eggs matured?

I want to start by first saying Thank You for all of the prayers and positive energy. Jason and I can't thank you enough!

Last couple of days I have been resting, but feeling a lot better after the egg retrieval and made it to work today. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!! Going back up to San Antonio for the implantation.

They retrieved 18 eggs on Wednesday, out of the 18, 9 were mature and out of the 9, 6 fertilized. I HAVE 6 FERTILIZED EGGS!!!!!!! They are in an incubator in SA undergoing EEVA. Basically that means they take photographs of the cells splitting at every second of the day for 72 hours. You want them to split naturally like they would in the womb. We will choose the best two out of those 6. Pretty incredible! I can't wait to see those pictures on Saturday.

Right now I'm taking a steroid, an antiobotic and an progesterone insert. Just some things you have to do to get your body prepared for the implant.

I also have a confession. Trusting the Lord is HARD! Saying, yes to the unknown is HARD, saying Ok to something scary and praying for the best is HARD! Being obedient is HARD! This has to be the biggest test EVER! I had a long conversation with Jason about this. I am thankful for the growth in my marriage. That has been the best ever, a SOLID marriage.

Pray for the best tomorrow! Baby 0 is waiting for his 9 month stay and this mama is READY! This mama, that is crazy to say! And a little teary eyed....

xoxo Team O
