World War II veteran Richard Keller has seen a lot in his 90 years and has had some amazing life experiences. And now he can add another to the list because he recently rappelled down a 38-story skyscraper in Downtown Denver, Colorado.
Keller’s sky high adventure wasn’t just for fun, he says he did it to raise money for cancer. So how did he decide to get vertical on a tall building for a good cause? He says he’s always ready for a challenge and the 22 medals he won at last summer’s Senior Games prove it.
“You have a throttle and a break, and your hands … they have to be working in coordination, which was kind of tricky to get it just right so I could keep going,” Keller explains of his rappelling. “It’s a wonderful thing to try.”
