+2 Additional Occurrences

Each fall, more migrating raptors are counted at the Corpus Christi HawkWatch than anywhere else in the United States of America. During the peak of the season, over 100,000 Broad-winged Hawks can be spotted in a single day. HawkWatch International and the Audubon Outdoor Club of Corpus Christi invite the community to experience the magic of migration during the 2025 Celebration of Flight festival—three days of live bird encounters, educational programs, games, and of course, hawkwatching, at Hazel Bazemore County Park.

This year’s festival begins Friday, September 26th, and includes more birds, more games and activities, and more opportunities to connect with conservation in the Coastal Bend. From reading with raptors to a visit from the wildlife ambulance, this year’s festival has more in store than ever before.

All events are free and open to the public. Those interested in supporting this local, long-term research, education, and conservation program can make a tax-deductible donation at hawkwatch.org/hazelrocks
