A nurse in Macomb County, Michigan hit it big, winning $4-million on a scratch-off lottery ticket. A scratch-off! The woman, who chooses to stay anonymous, says she’s not quitting her day job, but she will cut back to just a 40-hours a week for the first time in years.
“I scratched the ticket in the store and I was floored,” says the winner. “I screamed a few choice words that got the clerk’s attention and she asked what I’d won. She didn’t believe me until she looked at the ticket herself.”
She opted for the one-time lump-sum payment of $2.5-million and she tells lottery officials that she’s going to pay bills, pay for her daughter’s college tuition, buy a car, and invest the rest. Sounds like a solid plan, lucky lady.
