The family of Alice Dunn not only had to deal with her death, but with an incredibly unorganized funeral home. When they showed up to Swanson Funeral Home in Flint, Michigan, they discovered the wrong body was in the casket.
“I told them ‘that ain’t our mama,'” Maurice Dunn explains. “It was a total stranger dressed in the clothing that my brother Joey [picked out] and the wig selected for our mother."
Perhaps the craziest part? At first, the funeral home denied they made a mistake insisting the woman in the casket was Alice. Eventually, Swanson Funeral Home brought out the right body. Maurice said he didn't get a "heartfelt" apology, though.
