Last night, my wife and I were watching TV in the living room. She gets up to go to the kitchen for something, then suddenly yells out, "Samuel! (yeah she calls me Samuel) Samuel! Get over here, quick!"
I scramble out of my chair, thinking one of our pets did something, or is about to do something. My wife then points out the back door to something on top of the burgler bars.
Yeah. That's a baby possum.
Neither of us can figure out how it got there, or worse yet, where is the momma? There's no fruit trees of any kind in our backyard, and all our pets are indoors, so there isn't any pet food for possums to get into.
While trying to figure this out, my wife starts to talk about feeling bad for it, how cute it is, etc. Now, I'll admit, it does look a little cute to me. But at the end of the day, IT'S VERMIN! I don't want that anywhere near our house!
My wife thinks I'm mean. Your thoughts?
