Michael Zaydel likes attention. The 21-year-old from Redford Township, Michigan was wanted by police over probation violations and promised he'd turn himself in if his post on the local PD's Facebook page was shared a thousand times.
Zaydel met his goal and kept his promise. When he walked into the station to turn himself in, he came with a dozen donuts and a bagel in hand. Zaydel explains that "cops like doughnuts" and he wanted to apologize for any inconvenience.
We don't know if the cops ate the donuts or not, but the stunt didn't spare Zaydel jail time. He was sentenced to 39 days in jail.
