The head of the Queen Elizabeth's household, Lord Chamberlain, has decided security guards and other members of the royal staff will no longer be allowed to bring their dogs to work. The tradition is centuries old and a source says the staff is very “up in arms” about it.
“For hundreds of years members of the royal household have been able to bring their dogs to work,” the insider says. “But the Lord Chamberlain has put a stop to it for reasons of hygiene and security."
The snitch goes on to say that the new ban is a little odd considering the Queen and her family are dog lovers and have their own pups throughout the palace.
