Kacey Musgraves called out ā€œaggressiveā€ behavior from a concertgoer at one of the recent stops on her headlining ā€œDeeper Well World Tour.ā€ It apparently happened while Musgraves performed on Friday (November 29) in Tampa, Florida.

Fan-recorded footage shows a moment that Musgraves walks near the crowd, and one fan appeared to reach out and grab her as she walked by. Musgraves shared a few videos from TikTok users on her Instagram story on Monday (December 2), including one who wrote, ā€œbtw this is not okay and theyā€™re lucky I didnā€™t instinctively swing.ā€ Another TikTok user shared a video of that moment and wrote, ā€œsomeone pulled Kacey at the Tampa show tonight.ā€ That TikToker added in the caption, ā€œthey got kicked out though.ā€

On a third slide, Musgraves wrote a statement about the fanā€™s actions during the show.

ā€œJust because an artist ā€” or any human ā€” is within reach you have zero right to treat them like an object. This was aggressive, was dealt with, and will not be tolerated at my shows,ā€ Musgraves said. ā€œI walk out in the space designated for me to safely move through the crowd so I can connect on a closer level. Itā€™s fun until someone has to ruin it.ā€

Musgraves kicked off her world tour earlier this year in Dublin, Ireland. Sheā€™s wrapping it up this month with back-to-back shows in Nashville, Tennessee. The Grammy Award-winning artist released her fifth studio record in March, and followed it with the deluxe edition, Deeper into the Well, in August. Find Musgravesā€™ music on iHeartRadio here.
